Few, among many, with seasonal allergy, wheezing/asthma, and other upper/lower respiratory tract illnesses who benefitted significantly from homeopathic treatment

• Middle age, highly educated housewife with a long history of PAROXYSMS of SNEEZING only in the morning upon waking up.  Sneezing spells completely stopped after taking homeopathic remedy (00202108).

  Comments:  Doing well with no further sneezing episodes 5 years following the treatment (0808).

• College student with COMMON COLD having runny nose, sneezing, and cough got complete relief of all symptoms within 16 hours of homeopathic treatment.

  Comments:  A skeptic turned into a believer.

• A young child having RAGWEED andGRASS ALLERGY resulting in marked runny nose, sneezing often associated with asthmatic symptoms responded well to homeopathic remedy after 2 months of treatment.

  Comments:  No allergy symptoms/wheezing described for 2 consecutive seasons while on weekly dosages of homeopathic remedy during the spring and fall.  Did not require any anti-allergic/anti-histaminic/bronchodilator therapy while on homeopathic treatment.

• Middle age computer executive suffering from CHRONIC SINUSITIS with facial bone pain, headache, feeling of obstructed nasal passages, tiredness, heaviness of face, etc. for nearly 30 years reported significant improvement in energy level, appetite, nasal obstruction, headache and facial pain within 5 days of treatment.

  Comments:  Remained free of sinusitis symptoms as of 1 year following treatment.

• Young man with allergic rhinitis having severe spring-time symptoms of HAY FEVER with red and watery eyes, clogged ears, itchy throat and copious watery nasal discharge had over 95% control of all his symptoms after getting no help from OTC and other prescription medicines (1603149).
   
• Past middle-age adult having difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, exertional dyspnea, chest soreness, fatigue, and other symptoms for 6 months was diagnosed to have pulmonary SARCOIDOSIS.  Had partial improvement from steroids and bronchodilator; discontinued steroids due to undesirable side effects.  Had nearly 80-90% improvement in all respiratory symptoms within 2 weeks after taking homeopathic remedy (6104233).

  Comments:  Had only occasional, mild, self-resolving respiratory symptoms while continuing homeopathic treatment for over 3 months.

• Young female with HAY FEVER having rhinorrhea, itchy throat, constant tickling cough, and itchy ears for about 2 weeks during fall season.  Symptoms did not improve despite antibiotic and antihistaminic medications.  Had complete relief of all her symptoms within 1 week of treatment (40052274).  Also had significant relief from homeopathic remedy in her foot pain due to chronic PLANTER FASCIITIS not responding well to anti-inflammatory medicines and orthotic inserts.

  Comments:  No recurrence of symptoms at 4 month follow-up.

• Thirty-plus housewife having frontal headache, eye strain, facial bone pain, nasal congestion, post nasal drip, throat irritation and pain, cough worse during sleep, and tiredness toward the end of the day was diagnosed to have CHRONIC SINUSITIS and had consulted an ophthalmologist and otolaryngologist  in addition to several visits to her primary care physician for over 15 years.  Was treated with Tylenol, Motrin, nose drops, and periodic antibiotics with poor and short lasting to no control of her symptoms.  After a week on single homeopathic remedy based on totality of her symptoms, a 50% overall improvement was reposted.  At 6-week follow up visit, nearly 85% improvement was described with complete disappearance of many sinusitis symptoms.  Described “feeling very good after a long time” (1106311).

  Comments:  Remarkable response within a short time for a 15-year old chronic illness.  Treatment was completed after about 1 year; patient was reported to be doing well and asymptomatic at 2 year follow up call after the last visit (0808).

• Young, primary school-age child having RECURRENT WHEEZING, for nearly 3 years just about every 1-2 month on average,usually starting in the middle of the night, andalwaysFOLLOWING A COLD type illness.  No known allergies.  Has been going to daycare since early infancy.  Had few quite severe episodes of asthma requiring visits to Emergency Room.  After sometime usual doses of Albuterol and Pulmocort failed to provide relief.  Because of frequent and severe wheezing, was advised to take chronic, multi-therapy with oral Singulair, antihistamines, bronchodilator and steroid; parents only gave Singulair and refused other medicines (6205296).

  Comments:  Within a month of homeopathic treatment, there was only one minor episode of wheezing.  Subsequently, during the 9 months, there was one episode of cold without wheezing and one episode of mild wheezing without preceding cold.  Acute remedies helped relief wheezing without need for inhaled Albuterol/steroid.  Parents decided to discontinue Singulair.  During next 6 months, had no more frequent colds or wheezing.  Homeopathic discontinued after 10 months with no recurrence of any colds or asthma episodes for nearly 2 years (0808).

• A 3-year old youngster was having RECURRENT EPISODES OF COLD with runny nose, cough worse at night often associated with vomiting of swallowed mucus, and wheezing with shortness of breath just about every 4-6 weeks, one after the other, since started going to daycare about a year ago.  Seen by pediatrician and pulmonologist multiple times and treated with different antibiotics; also given Pulmicort, Albuterol, and Singular almost on a regular basis.  Within 2 months of homeopathic treatment, the need for bronchodilator decreased significantly and after few months parents stopped all medicines completely in consultation with pediatrician (0506305). 

  Comments:  While on homeopathic treatment, and even after discontinuation of all allopathic medicines, the child did not have a single episode of typical cold/cough/wheezing he used to have nearly 6-8 times a year (0808).

• A 2^nd grade youngster was having RECURRENT COLD type illness with mild fever, COUGH and WHEEZING just about every 6-8 weeks for nearly 4 years.  Over the years, treated with Rhinocort, Singular, Zyrtec, Albuterol, Pulmicort, etc, with only temporary relief.  In between the cold and wheezing episodes, the wet cough sort of persisted, worse in the morning and associated with excessive thick, whitish-green, sticky mucus that was often swallowed.

  Within 4 months of homeopathic treatment, all recurrent and persistent symptoms disappeared; parents stopped all allopathic medicines 2 weeks after starting homeopathic treatment (7307448).

  Comments:  At 1 year follow-up, the child continues to do well, remains asymptomatic, enjoys good health, did not miss any more school days.  Treatment continues with decreasing dosages of remedies (1108).

• A teenager boy having ENLARGED TONSILS for nearly 7-8 years with no spontaneous resolution despite wishful waiting for several years delaying operation recommended by two ENT docs.  Both tonsils were noted to be quite large kissing uvula and making food swallowing little uncomfortable and embarrassingly noisy.  It took long but after about 1 year of treatment, both tonsils gradually decreased in size significantly with disappearance of pitting noted at the beginning of the homeopathic treatment (6906369).

  Comments:  Patient remained asymptomatic with continued regression in the size of tonsils even after stopping remedies for several months (111808). 

• Thirty something computer specialist came with one year history of CHRONIC SINUSITIS with following symptoms despite medical therapy:  blocked nose, trouble breathing through nose, feels like suffocated, snoring, sleeplessness, daytime fatigue, mouth breathing, dryness of mouth, frequent urge to blow nose with only small amount of thick yellow discharge, thick and sticky mucus in the throat, post-nasal drip especially at night, frontal headache, facial bone pain, loss of smell, itchy eyes and some hearing impairment. 

  CT scan and ENT exam revealed chronic inflammation of all sinuses and bilateral multiple nasal polyps.  Multiple courses of antibiotics, oral steroids, nose rinse, various nose drops provided only partial and temporary relief.  Because of failure of medical therapy, ENT doc recommended polyp removal and endoscopic sinus operation with no assurance of any long-term benefit.  Patient refused surgical option and sought alternative treatment (8108532).

  Within 3 months of starting homeopathic treatment, there was about 70% improvement in symptoms.  Treatment was continued with further relief of symptoms.  At 1 year follow up, all symptoms remained in full control with normal life of this sleepless, always fatigued, and constantly feeling suffocated person (0110).
