• 53-year-old physician with a history of chronic EPICONDYLITIS (Tennis elbow) for several months, having recurrent pain (worse with movements at elbow and hand) despite steroid injections and anti-inflammatory medications. Cured after 2 weeks of treatment.
  Comments: No recurrence as of 2 years after completing the homeopathic treatment.
   
• 50-year-old professional female with a few days history of shoulder pain diagnosed as SHOULDER TENDONITIS cured of pain and discomfort within 2 days of homeopathic treatment.
  Comments: No recurrence as of 1 year following the treatment.
   
• 51-year-old doctor with 30-year history of LEG CRAMPS with excruciating pain and spasm of calf and foot muscles in the middle of sound sleep, worse during winter season. No conventional medicines helped. Treated with homeopathic remedy, cured within 2 months.

• Young female with HAY FEVER having rhinorrhea, itchy throat, constant tickling cough, and itchy ears for about 2 weeks during fall season. Symptoms did not improve despite antibiotic and antihistaminic medications. Had complete relief of all her symptoms within 1 week of treatment (40052274). Also had significant relief from homeopathic remedy in her foot pain due to chronic PLANTER FASCIAITIS not responding well to anti-inflammatory medicines and orthotic inserts.
  Comments: No recurrence of symptoms at 4 month follow-up.
   
• Elderly person suffering from unexplained, generalized blisters, like skin ulcers, associated with pain and marked burning for the past 3 years was diagnosed as PEMPHIGUS and treated with Prednisone, Dapsone, Methotrexate, and Cellcept at various times. Only Prednisone provided some control but soon after its discontinuation or tapering because of side effects or long duration, the new lesions reappear in increasing frequency and old ones reulcerate despite continuation of Cellcept and other medications.  Within 2 weeks after starting homeopathic treatment, Pemphigus blisters and associated pain and burning were about 50% better; at one month follow up, there was about 70% improvement (6005294). 
  
  Comments: Two months into the treatment, patient described over 95% improvement with many large, bleeding, painful ulcers completely healed with only erythematous but healthy skin underneath. Only few small crusty lesions were noted in healing state.
   
• 4-year-old youngster with a history of recurrent, UNEXPLAINED EYELID SWELLING just about every 2 months for over 4 years. Associated symptoms included slight erythema of eyelids, itching and mild discomfort from heaviness of the lids; the swelling of eyelids often resulted in marked puffiness with inability to open the eyes. No associated other eye symptoms, known allergies or systemic illness. Allergist prescribed Claritin/Zyrtec which did not prevent episodes despite daily intake; Benadryl sometimes helped the swelling a little but did not shorten the duration of episode which usually resolved over 3-4 days.
   
• On 4^th days of starting homeopathic remedy, patient developed another episode of eyelid swelling but much milder than usual and disappeared only after 1 day. No Benadryl was given. The homeopathic remedy was stopped after 1 month (6305297).
  Comments: No recurrence of episodic eyelid swelling 3 months later despite discontinuation of all medication (030306).
   
• A teenager with PIMPLES for 3-4 years primarily involving forehead, top and sides of nose, and chin with small, pus filled, whitehead lesions. Also had many dark spots from old, healed pimples. After 3 months on homeopathic remedies, all her pimples cleared up, and no new pimples were noted. Within 6 months, old spots also disappeared (00304175).
  Comments: Two years following completion of treatment, has had no recurrence of acne (0106).
   
• Middle age computer professional had stinging type skin itching, constantly moist and erythematous skin both groins with surrounding areas of dark pigmentation from chronic scratching for over 4 years. Moderately-severe itching spells often resulted in rawness and bleeding.  Consulted 3 dermatologists and an allergist, diagnosed as having NUMMULAR ECZEMA, and was prescribed Protopic, several antihistaminic agents, steroid creams, etc. with no satisfactory results. After 6 months of homeopathic treatment, the eczema and itching was all gone with normal groin skin (3105265).
  Comments: After full control of symptoms and the eczema, the homeopathic treatment will continue for some more time hoping for a complete cure (0306).
   
• Thirty-plus housewife having frontal headache, eye strain, facial bone pain, nasal congestion, post nasal drip, throat irritation and pain, cough worse during sleep, and tiredness toward the end of the day was diagnosed to have CHRONIC SINUSITIS and had consulted an ophthalmologist and otolaryngologist  in addition to several visits to her primary care physician for over 15 years. Was treated with Tylenol, Motrin, nose drops, and periodic antibiotics with poor and short lasting to no control of her symptoms. After a week on single homeopathic remedy based on totality of her symptoms, a 50% overall improvement was reposted. At 6-week follow up visit, nearly 85% improvement was described with complete disappearance of many sinusitis symptoms. Described “feeling very good after a long time” (1106311).
  
  Comments: Remarkable response within a short time for a 15-year old chronic illness. Treatment continues (0306).
   
• Middle age professional diagnosed to have PSORIASIS clinically manifesting as generalized erythematous rash, some ring-like lesions with central clearing, itching, thickening, and crusting of skin and extensive exfoliation from skin and scalp. Affected areas included primarily the scalp, ear lobes, external ear canals, forehead hair line, back of neck, elbows, chest, and back. In addition, nails were also involved. Initial allopathic treatment included several creams, shampoo etc. with no significant relief; new lesions continued despite treatment with some newer allopathic as well as ayurvedic medicines. When started on homeopathic treatment, there was only partial improvement on initial remedies; later, during the course of further treatment, his psoriasis improved nearly 95% after a different remedy was chosen (3704209).
  Comments: Improvement sustained despite discontinuation of all allopathic medicines and only on infrequent dosing of homeopathic remedy (0606).
   
• Young, primary school-age child having RECURRENT WHEEZING, for nearly 3 years just about every 1-2 month on average,usually starting in the middle of the night, andalways FOLLOWING A COLD type illness. No known allergies. Has been going to daycare since early infancy. Had few quite severe episodes of asthma requiring visits to Emergency Room. After sometime usual doses of Albuterol and Pulmocort failed to provide relief. Because of frequent and severity of wheezing, was advised to take chronic, multitherapy with oral Singulair, antihistamines, bronchodilator and steroid; parents only gave Singulair and refused other medicines (6205296).
  
  Comments: Within a month of homeopathic treatment, there was only one minor episode of wheezing. Subsequently, during the 9 months, there was one episode of cold without wheezing and one episode of mild wheezing without preceding cold. Acute remedies helped relief wheezing without need for inhaled Albuterol/steroid. Parents decided to discontinue Singulair. During next 6 months, had no more frequent colds or wheezing. Homeopathic discontinued after 10 months with no recurrence of any colds or asthma episodes for nearly 3 months (1206).
   
• Young infant came for homeopathic treatment of CHALAZION with crusty lid margin of 6 month duration. Eye doctor advised surgical drainage under general anesthesia after warm soaks failed to resolve it. No other medical problems were described. Within a month after homeopathic remedy was given, the chalazion disappeared with normal looking lid and the margin without any further nodular appearance or the crusting.
   
• Person with a history of ACUTE URTICARIA with swollen red and baggy eyelids, swollen and red ear lobes, blotchy and itchy facial and upper extremity rash came for homeopathic treatment for recurrence of urticariawithin 3 days after completing a 6-day course of steroid pills. Two dosage of homeopathic remedy, given 30 minutes apart, in the office while obtaining the history markedly reduced the itching and redness of rashes. Within 3 days of homeopathic treatment, all the rashes, swelling, redness and itching disappeared completely without the need for the second course of steroid pills she was advised to take (379-0407).
   
• A young child had multiple WARTS on UPPER LIP that recurred despite surgical removal of some bigger ones. All warts disappeared completely within 2 weeks of homeopathic remedy (5006350).
  Comments: No recurrence noted during several months after discontinuation of treatment (0407).
   
• Elderly lady with itching of scalp, painful pimply eruptions, and hair loss for several months was diagnosed to have SCALP FOLLICULITIS and treated by the dermatologist with Minocycline and local application of medicated foam. Minocycline gave her severe diarrhea and foam application was very cumbersome process for her. Despite good compliance, during the past 18 months, she was treated with multiple courses of Minocycline/other antibiotics and foam because of recurrence of folliculitis within 1-2 weeks after completion of each course.  Patient sought homeopathic treatment when the derm doc said he did not have anything else to offer other than repeated course of antibiotics (7506375).
  
  Comments: Within a week after taking a single homeopathic remedy, she noted significant improvement in the itching and painful pimples. After about 4 months, her folliculitis was completely gone with no further scalp itching or new pimples. No antibiotics or foam application was requires during 4 months of homeopathic treatment.
